Empowering individuals and families to overcome life’s challenges, build confidence, and move forward with strength and self-awareness.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Associate (LCSW-A) and I am local to the greater Triad area. I earned a Bachelors at Bennett College and a Masters in Clinical Social Work Practice from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). I have worked in human services since 2002. My professional experience includes supporting individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health diagnoses. In addition, I have worked in the child welfare sector supporting children and families.
I have experience working with a variety of individuals which include children, adolescents, adults, couples, and marginalized communities or groups. As a clinician, my work has consisted of assisting clients with addressing depression, adverse childhood experiences, poor self-esteem, anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress, and transitions of life. My hope is to help my clients realize their full potential and move forward in a positive direction. I believe it is my responsibility as a clinician to empower clients and provide them with the tools necessary to be successful while improving their mental symptoms.
During my free time, I enjoy listening to music, spending time with family and friends, as well as spending quality time with my dog. I have a passion for social justice and advocacy for marginalized individuals. My goal as a clinician is to create a welcoming environment and provide compassionate care for all those who seek my services.
