Adolescents and Trauma
Creating a safe, supportive space where adolescents and young adults can heal, grow, and rediscover their strength.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Winston-Salem State University in 2015 and my master’s degree in Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University in 2019. Since 2015, I have worked as a social worker, serving diverse populations in areas such as substance use, physical health, child abuse and neglect, early childhood development, public health, residential mental health, acute illness, nonprofit work, and aging services.
I have a strong passion for working with adolescents and young adults, particularly young girls and women, providing support for depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). My clinical experience includes providing individual, group, and family therapy in a variety of settings.
My dedication to mental wellness and recovery stems from my own personal journey, which fuels my commitment to helping others find healing, balance, and resilience. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that fosters transparency, equality, and trust, where every client feels heard, valued, and supported.
